Positive Futures
This programme takes cognisance of the fact that young people today are growing up in a different Northern Ireland from their parents and grandparents, with a greater level of stability within government and society in general. It recognises that there is no standard experience for young people, that they are affected to varying degrees dependent upon where they live, where they go to school, how they are influenced by parents and friends and the influencers around them in their communities.
Positive interaction with those from a different religious, political and or ethnic background designed to give young people the opportunity to explore and understand others will be central to the delivery of this programme. Actions will also seek to tackle the apathy experienced by young people and the lack of opportunity or direction which limits their life chances and renders them vulnerable to paramilitary and other influences.
This programme falls under the Small Grants section, with funding of up to £30,000 available per grant. Please note that calls for Small Grant applications are now closed.
