Oil Stamp Saving Scheme
The Newtownabbey Borough Council Oil Stamp Scheme allows householders who use central heating oil to spread the cost of their home heating oil so as to budget and save effectively.
Saving Your Stamps
1. Collect an oil stamp savings card from any of the participating stamp outlets as listed below.
2. As soon as you receive the card, complete the Name and Address sections to help prevent fraud.
3. Purchase a £5 oil saving stamp or stamps from a participating outlet within the Borough. The stamps are non-refundable.
4. Place your oil savings stamp onto your oil savings card in the spaces provided. Each card holds 40 stamps.
The card can then be used for payment, or part-payment for your oil with participating oil suppliers. We would ask that you only use Newtownabbey Borough Council Oil Stamps on Newtownabbey Borough Council Oil Stamp Savings Cards.

It is important to check with the oil supplier to see how they expect to receive the card. Some may accept the card on delivery of the oil but others may prefer you to surrender your card prior to the purchase.
A card, or a number of cards can be used as payment towards your heating oil. Don’t worry if your card isn’t full, as partly completed cards will be accepted as payment or part-payment.
It is your responsibility to comply with the payment method of your chosen oil supplier.
