In March 2009 The ’Heat, Your Health & Your Home’ seminar was hosted by the Public Health Agency’s Northern Neighbourhoods Health Action Zone, in partnership with both Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Councils. Held at Mossley Mill, the seminar aimed to increase understanding and awareness of fuel poverty and the help available, among frontline staff, local representatives and community leaders who regularly come into contact with people at risk of, or already living in, fuel poverty.
Guest speakers included Jacqui Frazer, Northern Area Fuel Poverty Co-ordinator; Professor Christine Liddell, Professor of Psychology at the University of Ulster and Paul Wallace from National Energy Action.
