For the first time grants can be completed online at www.newtownabbey.gov.uk/communitygrants Every application completed online will be entered into a prize draw to win two tickets to a performance of your choice at the Theatre at the Mill.
1st Call for Community Development Grant Applications 2012 - 2013
Applications are now invited from suitably constituted Community/Voluntary Sector organisations working within the Borough of Newtownabbey to apply for financial assistance for projects taking place between 1 April 2012 – 31 March 2013.
Funding is available under the following categories:
| Category | Description | Maximum Award |
| Seeding Grant | To assist new groups with initial outlay costs and administration. | £300 |
| Premises Grant | To support the running costs of premises from which an approved programme of activities will be delivered. | £2500 |
| Community Outreach and Involvement Grant | To enable groups to deliver practical and innovative programmes of community support. | £2500 |
| Group Advancement and Technical Assistance | Training and Development To enable groups to participate in various training and development opportunities that build capacity and encourage skills acquisition. |
£500 |
| Technical Assistance To provide support for feasibility studies, community research, consultancy support, environmental studies, business plans etc relating to specific Community Development Initiatives. |
£2500 |
The closing date for receipt of completed application forms is Friday 27 January 2012 at 4:00pm.
