The Newtownabbey Community Safety Partnership was established in May 2003 and is made up of representatives from organisations/agencies that have a role to play in Community Safety at a local level.

The partnership shall consist of a single tier which will operate at both a strategic and operational level and will comprise of the following members:

• Newtownabbey Borough Council
• District Policing Partnership
• Police Service of Northern Ireland
• North Eastern Education & Library Board
• Northern Ireland Housing Executive
• Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service
• Youth Justice Agency
• Women’s Aid
• Victim Support
• University of Ulster
• NIACRO
• Senior Citizen’s Forum
• Community & Voluntary sector
